Our Toulouse furniture is made from the finest European oak. It is incredibly solid, heavy and robust. The quality is excellent and this collection represents exceedingly good value for money.
Solid oak is used throughout except on the tables which are mainly solid with veneered panels. This is very necessary otherwise they will be susceptible to movement/shrinkage as the oak dries leading to splitting/cracking.
The finish is silky smooth – oil like in look and feel however we have used a very high quality soft sheen lacquer which brings out the beauty and the grain of the oak and makes it incredibly practical to live with as the furniture will not mark from spillages etc. so long as they are quickly recovered with a soft damp cloth.
We offer 2 kinds of handles – one darker more traditional and a contemporary one made from steel. Each piece of furniture comes with both types of handle for you to make the choice – giving you a choice in the future also.
All in all, a very pleasing collection which will look especially elegant in any setting.
